Single Mothers' Forum Okinawa
We support single mothers in building safe, stable lives with their children by offering resources, assistance, and community, while actively advocating for their legal rights.
About
We provide information and community to support single-parent families (and those at risk of becoming single-parent families) in living more securely and with greater ease.
Additionally, we work to create an environment where all families can raise children with confidence, not just single-parent families. Our efforts include advocating for policy changes to ensure that child-rearing is supported by society as a whole, aiming to expand and establish systems that support families, regardless of their structure.
From June 2024 to February 2025, our activities were funded by 'Dormant Deposits'. For details, please visit the Single Mothers' Station website.
In February 2025, Single Mothers' Forum Okinawa registered as a General Incorporated Association.
From April 2025 to March 2025, our activities were funded by the WAM Subsidy from the Welfare And Medical Service Agency.
